First Order from Romwe.com ... not so good. :(

About 2 weeks ago, I bought a necklace from Romwe, a website claiming to sell the latest street fashions. I found out about it from Faltering Bird, one of my favorite fashion blogs. The blogger used to be really into lolita clothing...maybe she still is, I am not sure...but either way I love her style and her blog. I finally decided to get a necklace she was sporting in one of her outfits. It's a lace collar looking necklace made out of metal.



Well it took about 2 weeks from the time I placed my order to receive it, which I guess isn't bad because I think I had cheap or free shipping and a discount coupon too and it was coming from China, I think, or maybe it was HK? Anyway...

I took the necklace out of the package and tried to put it on. It seemed really flimsy so I was using extreme care and ...well...it broke. :(

The quality must be terrible or it somehow got banged up during shipping.

I e-mailed their customer service team and they said they'd send me a coupon code so I could get another one. Well that's a good thing for sure. They replied within 24 hours too, which was great! So hopefully my 2nd necklace will hold up much better. I've been avoiding buying clothes there because most everything comes in 1 size only and that is just not going to work for me, being an average sized American girl. :(

Dolly Kei Hair Accessories!

I was inspired by Hitomi's line called "Dolly"...so I decided to try my hand at making my own dolly kei hair accessories!



It's my first time making these, so con crit is appreciated.

Also I am still debating of a way to attach these to the head--headbands? Hair clips? Barrettes? Pins? Please, give me your input! :) I have some barrettes but they're HUGE. Also the hair clips that snap back and forth seem too small/flimsy for such a large flower. I am considering glueing on a felt patch that contains some kind of alligator clasp along with a pin to make these into brooches! What do you think?

I will use the smaller hair clips with smaller roses to make tinier ones. :)

Mori girl!!

Woo. Crazy week! Been busy with school projects, homework, and the like! I'm also working on my first ever mori girl outfit, so yay! :)

Mori girl jewelry a la Forever 21!


I've got a few more I forgot to snap pics of but yeah....mori girl seems to be very "in" these days....maybe it's just a fall trend? I guess woodland creatures are very autumn-esque. xD I just love it! :)

I've ordered some boots to go with my mori girl outfit.

I will probably wear some kind of white tights with them too.

I also snagged some REAL fur stoles from eBay. For about $50 each which isn't bad for REAL fur. It's vintage fur from the 1930s. 80 year old fur, oh my! D: I normally don't like killing of animals just for their fur but these poor foxes/mink have been dead 80 yrs now. D: It's like owning ivory.... it's illegal to kill elephants for ivory now (though I am sure it still happens) but if you own an ivory chess set from the 1900's? Vintage/antiques are different, I would presume.... O.o;

I still feel a little weird owning real fur now. But I guess my Jesus Diamante boots have real rabbit fur on them O.o; I guess Japanese people don't mind killing animals for their fur. But if you think about it...people who live in harsher climates...like Alaska, Canada, Siberia...etc....probably use the other parts of the animal too. Nothing gets wasted!!

Anyhoo. Pix of the fur later...need to get them dry cleaned first. @___@;

First up, I won a sweet set of two pairs of Canmake Eyelashes! SO pretttty!! :]
I may be getting some Candydoll Blush again too, this time shade of pink! :3

I also scored these sweet SBY notebooks! I have yet to figure out what I will put in them! I got all of these on eBay from a great seller across the river in IL at Scott AFB. She's a Japanese woman who sells a lot of GAL items. :3 Shipping is uber fast too since she lives so close to me, muwhahahaha!

I was sad to hear that Aromaleigh is closing down. Two years ago I bought eyeshadows from her and I loved them! My roommate also has some of her products...she was the one who told me the site is going down! OH NOES. But there's going to be a huge SALE on the remainder of her products soon, so yay. I will be on the lookout for that. Gothic Lolita collection here I come. :3

Too bad the Swimmer watch is broken! D: Mai is sending me a new one though! :3 The one on the left is from MA*RS and it's the white version of my black one! I wear these a lot now! :3

CHOCOMINT GET!


This pic is sweet enough to give me a toothache! I am so in love with ChocoMint. Seriously. I WANT THE WHOLE STORE!!!! MUWHAHAHAHA! It's not cheap though but I was able to stay under my limit this time heehee. I cannot waiiiit to do a Fairy Kei coord with all of these goodies. :3

I got a tea set at goodwill for only about $6!! I got two cups, two saucers, and two plates! :3 Served with yummy macarons! :]

Annnd.

I made a Battenberg Cake but the marzipan was too dry and it fell apart! BOO! Lame sauce! I tried so hard to make it stick too! Oh well! First time for everything! :3 It was yummy nevertheless! :D
