Return to my old ways: Metamorphose Dim Light and Moitie Silent Moon

Two posts in one weekend? I'm on a roll, dammit.

But anyway, I kinda "left" lolita for a while, and I am now just looking into it again, but realizing 90% of my wardrobe really doesn't suit me anymore. I look at stuff I own now and these are the various things going through my head:

- I am never going to wear this again!
- Well, I MIGHT wear this, but only for a meet-up or con.
- Oh wait, I don't GO to meet-ups anymore and if I DO go to a con, it's once per year and I'm usually in cosplay or gyaru....lol. Oops.
- I want to sell this but I'm too lazy to take pics/type up eglsales entry.
- I don't want to sell this, I want to keep it as a collector's item, but I doubt it will appreciate in value unless I hang onto it for a good 20+ more years!
- I don't wear sweet anymore but I guess I could rock this in a himegyaru coordinate.
- Oh wait, I don't even really wear gyaru anymore either, because I am too lazy to do all the make-up and hair.
- Ah, fuck...!

*insert other various ramblings here*

Yeahhhh. So I am trying to FORCE myself to sell some of my lolita clothing I no longer wear/want. But sadly it's something of a challenge. If you scroll to the bottom of this, though, there's a bit about me trying to sell my Moitie dress, haha. I had it for a few years and I've only worn it once, so make an offer or something. ~__~;

But anyway....Lately I noticed these two prints...

This is "Dim Light" print by Metamorphose. It came in Dark Red as well as Dark Green but really the Dark Blue/Navy is the best color in my opinion.

I don't really own any dark blue dresses except for a Moitie sundress which I am attempting to sell.

Here's a close-up of this spectacular print!

So gorg! And perfect for goth/classic!

Aside from Dim Light, which I will probably never find, I positively adore this Moitie Print called Silent Moon!

This is another nice photo of the dress, but I am not sure who took it...

Simply divine! But it probably costs like $500. -___-;;;

I also adore this version though I like gold less:

Anyone have any more info about either of these prints or is willing to sell hers to me? :D

PS: I am selling a Moi-meme-Moitie Sundress!

Puri Kura!

Ever since the day I discovered the Princess Camera app for iPhone I've been smitten!
I even purchased glossy sticker paper to make real stickers with them! Puri Kura machines are all over Japan. They have some in the US. They're basically just glorified photo booths with the option of adding cute stuff/stamps to the photos once you're done!

Sadly, there aren't many in my state. I wish I lived in California! ;____;

The Princess Cam app costs like $1.99 ~ $2.99 but it's SO worth it. They update it from time to time and they add new stamps and special effects all of the time. You can even create your own stamps using photos. :D

These are pics of me and my best friend Yuka-chan. ;)

"Artka" TaoBao Shop!

Yesterday night I was helping my boyfriend browse for a cheap suit and tie on Taobao.com. And during my browsing, I discovered a really, REALLY cool shop! It's called "Artka" and they have a pretty nice selection of dresses and sweaters. My favorites are mostly the dresses....they have skirts and tops too but really, the dresses are what caught my eye! Here are some of the ones I love the most below.

Tell me which is/are your favorite/s!! :)

Photobucket

Photobucket
I think I might order this lovely red dress. It's the dress that drew my attention to Artka's shop in the first place. :) It reminds me a little of classic lolita and sweet lolita but without too much over-the-top-ness. :D

Photobucket
This blue dress is to die for. Seriously. I love it so much! It definitely reminds me a little of traditional Chinese garb and yet somehow it's also kind of European...like "Gypsy" almost maybe? It comes in white too but blue is my favorite by far!

Photobucket
I am so tempted to buy this dress too. I LOVE sleeves...so unique! And the print with the flowers reminds me of a watercolor painting. :D Here is another shot of it.

Photobucket
Another one on my wishlist for sure...it reminds me a lot of Juliette et Justine or even Millenoirs...both classic/gothic lolita brands. :D I am debating whether to order it or not. My BF said he didn't like the black lace on it. But I adore it. *__*; Apparently this is from their "lolita" collection.

Photobucket
Another one I am positively in love with! It's so lovely...also kind of reminds me of Millenoirs brand. <3 More of a turquoise blue but I still love it! A lot of these remind me of paintings too and I think they were inspired by paintings because if you go to a dress product page it has all sorts of artwork on the top.

Photobucket
A blouse version of one of the blue dress above.

Photobucket
Reminds me a lot of mori girl style! I really want this one but I already own a lot of these colors!! >_<;;

Photobucket
Another one that looks sorta mori/dolly kei.

Photobucket
GORGEOUS black dress! Soooooo much love! <3

Photobucket
Red dress with black accents...reminds me of ethnic garb as well.

Photobucket
I love the belts on this one...I think it might be a little hard for me to pull off though for daily wear.... LOL!

Photobucket
A simple grey and white dress. Reminds me of Juliette et Justine.

Photobucket
I don't think I'd buy this one myself but it's really lovely and worth mentioning. I could see it being used in a really awesome dolly kei coordinate! :D

Photobucket
AWESOME BOOTS. 'nuff said! I REALLY want these but the biggest size they come in is EU39 which is like a US8 ish. I am about a US9 or a EU40/41. =___=;; I think I am going to see if I can get someone who speaks Chinese to ask if they can make them custom for me one size larger. :D These really remind me of Amir's clothing from Bride's Story...I mentioned it a few posts back. It's a manga about a girl living on the Silk Road in the early 1900s! These remind me of her boots. :D Even this model is wearing very similar style boots! I want those too! xD

Photobucket
I really adore this sweater. It's so simple and mori looking and yet has a unique design to it! :)

They have skirts too. Some are long and floaty and some are just...denim!

I really like how they have some basic and casual items which look outdoorsie/mori-like, and then they have CRAZY extravagent looking items...some of which look like they were inspired by Rococo paintings!

The prices seem to range like $40 - $70 US. That's kind of expensive for TaoBao, IMHO, but still cheaper than dresses at, say, Grimoire, or Anthropologie! :) I definitely plan to make an order. I will make another post once I receive my goods with a review of their shop! :)

Oh and unrelated to Artka but my BF found a really cool belt on Taobao that comes in many different colors. He said it reminded him of the Artka stuff. xD How cool!

So tell me what you think, everyone!! Do you like these dresses? Any favorites? I will definitely post pics of whatever I end up getting. I can't get too many because they're not very cheap...so I imagine I will have a very difficult time deciding. >_<;;;

Long Time No Post!

Dear my lovely readers:

I am so sorry for once again abandoning this blog! I will be posting more soon, hopefully! I've been super busy with applying for internships, going to interviews, and still dealing with school work and that sort of stuff.

There will be a new layout coming soon for Spring done by my friend Anne, if she can help me with it. :D We'll be doing a fashion panel/show in a few weeks at Anime St. Louis so if you're in the area, you should come to it! It will be really fun and it will take place on Saturday April 16th I think from 12pm - 1pm but I need to doublecheck. :D

For now I will take the rest of this post to show off some of my Innocent World Swag.
:D

I promised to post about it a while ago but I forgot. >__<;;

Ordering from Innocent World is veryyy easy!
Just go to their site and click your preferred choice of language on the upper right hand corner of the screen. Right now they only have Japanese, English, and I think French. Hopefully they will add more languages soon! :D

When you order you just pick the item you want, and copy and paste the item code to their special order form. It's really, really easy. Then you fill out the order form and hit submit. Only do this if you are 100% sure you want to order...otherwise if you can't pay them, they might not let you order again in the future. :(

Once you confirm your order, they sent you an automatic email reply saying that they got your order. A few days later they will ask you to send your payment via Paypal and they invoice you. It's in Yen. Once you pay, they will ship your item out in a few days! Sometimes it can take a while if there is a big sale or holiday in Japan.

Photobucket

Finally your package arrives! YAY! :D

Photobucket
They ship in brown Innocent World store bags.

...and they always include a cute little note! :D
Photobucket

Photobucket
So cute <3 !!

Weee!

Some of the things I have ordered are below. I really love how versatile their clothing is...! You can make it casual or fancy depending on your event/mood.

Photobucket
Strawberry Rose Garden JSK! So well made!

Photobucket
Quality is always top-notch! :D

Photobucket
Blouse with long sleeves and jabot...I forgot the name of this one. >_<;

They do multiple sizes too! S, M, and L. Sometimes LL for shoes. And short or long for dresses. I am 5'5" and I ALWAYS get the long version. I *could* get away with short versions of their dresses but IMHO, my torso is kinda longish so the bigger sizes fit me better.

Photobucket
Blouse when worn.

Photobucket
With JSK. (excuse boots...not part of outfit...but I was in a hurry to put it on!) :D

Photobucket
Again excuse teh boots. xD

Photobucket
Emmie Rose JSK. SO LOVELY! And I got it on sale too! ;3

Photobucket
Coordinated! With a little mori influence....<3 crocheted vests!

Photobucket
Similar to Pompadour JSK...IDK the name...I got it used.

Worn while out for afternoon tea with my roommate. :3

Photobucket
My roommate traded me this OP for a BtSSB green snow dot OP that I didn't wear at all.
This is a much older IW design. I still adore it though! :3

Photobucket
IW's Gertrude Skirt. It has a GORGEOUS black chiffon bustle in back. ;___; *dies* haha.

Photobucket
Coordinated skirt.... I can also wear this skirt with a black top and black tights and black shoes for an elegant evening out/date look. :3

Photobucket
Pompadour Set in Green, longer version (~101cm?)

As you can see, they made some special Pullip Dolls too! :D My doll matches me! :D

I got the "Pullip Tiphona" doll and I decided to twin with her last autumn. :)

So much love for IW!!

<3 BONUS!

Not Innocent World, but Juliette et Justine, another favorite classic lolita brand of mine! :D

Photobucket

Worn dress: After my roommate and I went for some tea. :3

Hope you guys and gals enjoyed this post! :3 LEAVE ME COMMENTS!! <3<3<3
